Dive Courses
A wide variety of scuba certification courses are available to you at La Source.
If you are not certified as yet, you have several options:
PADI OPEN WATER COURSE
The full course includes 5 theory sessions, exam, 5 pool or confined water lessons and 4 open water dives. We will fit the course schedule to your holiday plans, no worries there is no boring theory class. This certificate is recognized world wide and enables you to dive with your buddy independently and hire gear wherever you want. You may want to finish the theory before you travel, that is easy done online, just click here to sign up. (US$120 to PADI are credited for your completion course in Grenada). This will safe you a lot of time and you only need 2-3 days to complete your course and start diving!
PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE
The first real certification course requires some theory lesson and quizzes, pool skill circuit and 2 open water dives. The certificate is restricted to depth limit of 40 feet / 12 meters and allows diving only under supervision of a dive instructor. But it is a great option if you don't have too much time to spend for it but want a certification to take home.
UNIVERSAL REFERRAL COURSE
You have already done your theory and pool back home and just want to finish your open water certification dives in our warm waters. You either could get a PADI or SDI certificate from us or we sign your certification dives and your initial instructor will certify you with the agency of your choice when you return home.
Certified divers may seek to improve their skills, learn new techniques and become more confident divers:
NITROX CERTIFICATION
Enjoy the benefits of FREE Nitrox - stay longer on our wrecks and deeper reefs and dive safer. Reduce the effects of Nitrogen Narcosis and be less tired to enjoy the rest of your holiday. You have the choice of two courses: PADI Enriched Air Diver and SDI Easy Computer Nitrox.
PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE
Your first glimpse into the wide variety of scuba diving. Knowledge reviews for the different dives are required. The course includes 5 dives on different areas: Deep diving, UW-Navigation, UW-Naturalist, Drift Diving and Wreck Diving, You may also just do three of these dives and become an Adventure Diver.
PADI WRECK DIVER & DEEP DIVER
Grenada is the perfect destination to develop your wreck and deep diving skills if you want to take it further.
PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE
Minimum age 15, a 5 day course with an extended theory portion and several water exercises, the real thing - which gives you confidence to dive independent with your buddy. The final exam is a rescue exercise where you have to prove your ability to deal with an injured diver. The course price includes a manual, certificate and rescue slate.
TECHNICAL & REBREATHER DIVING
At Aquanauts you get a chance to learn technical diving - be it TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures or Closed Circuit Rebreather Certification. Rebreather Trial dives can be arranged.
