LaSource Scuba Yoga incorporates yoga classes and meditation to enhance your diving experience.
Yoga is an ancient Indian pilosophy dating back 5000 years, it is not just some rather strange postures but a whole lifestyle.
In our busy daily lives we are loosing connection to ourselves and our body, yoga can help to -as we say at LaSource- introduce your body to your mind.
Yoga also can make you a better diver and improve your diving skills.
Yoga and scuba diving greatly complement each other as both have a great emphasis on breathing properly - an awareness most modern people have lost.
The one week program includes daily yoga classes where pranayama (breathing exercise) and asanas (poses) are taught.
These help to prepare for diving mentally and physically.
The three included dives of the program will focus on dive vizualisation and buyancy control.
A perfect neutral buoyancy will help to extend your bottom time through reduced air-consumption, protect the marine environment
and will increase the enjoyment of being underwater.
If you have not been diving for a while, we recommend to start with a pool refresher where also the first skills of the scuba yoga program can be taught.
During the dives you will learn to estimate and adjust your weights properly, move effortless in water with the proper fin kicks,
control your buoyancy with your breath, calm your breath to a deep rythmic breathing and to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
The program is accompanied by insights into the yoga philosophy, advise on proper stretching to avoid back pain and injuries
as well as many tips on how to become a good Yoga-Diver.
